Another Senseless School Shooting
Why are we putting up with this?
I am saddened that again, people perish needlessly on another school shooting. It seems as every day there’s a mass shooting incident involving young people.
Why? Why are so many shootings taking place? Why are people more concerned with ruining this country, destroying our Democracy, and abolishing our way of life. People should be concerned with these young people that get their hands on these high power assault weapons and just go to a school and start shooting. This is ridiculous.
We always try to figure out how many people have to die at a bad intersection before there’s a traffic light or some type of better traffic control installed to curb, or stop, the deaths. Well, folks, it’s about time we figure out the enforcement to stop these senseless deaths at our schools.
In listening to the reports from this latest shooting, we learn it could have been a lot worse. But, with the rapid reaction of the teachers, security staff and law enforcement, the casualties were minimal.
But, there were injuries, and senseless deaths. So the system still needs to be tweaked, fixed, where a person brandishing these weapons can’t get in our schools.
In this case, two people lost their lives, plus the gunman. He lost his life in a shootout with the police. God bless the law enforcement. There’s no telling how many students and teachers would have been killed if it wasn’t for the rapid response of the school security and law enforcement officers. Many lives were saved. I congratulate them all on a job well done. And the teachers for the many lives they saved.
My heart goes out to those that perished, their families, and the ones which were injured. God speed their recovery.
