Having a Really Bad Day. Especially if Your Name is Trump!
If ketchup will fly, it will be flying today in Mar-a-Lago!
First, early this morning, it was reported by Washington Post that “Donald Trump can be held civilly liable for the actions of the mob that attacked the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, an appeals court ruled Friday in a long-awaited decision that could clear the way for lawsuits seeking financial damages from the former president.”
Chief Judge Sri Srinivasan wrote for the three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit.
“When a first-term President opts to seek a second term, his campaign to win re-election is not an official presidential act. The Office of the Presidency as an institution is agnostic about who will occupy it next.”
There are countless officers who were working that day, numerous Congressmen and Congresswomen, all who can civilly sue Trump, now. Especially the families of the officers that died as a result of that incident!
Now, I’m not a legal scholar, but does this mean he’s screwed?!?

Next up, Politico broke this news this evening:
Trump is not immune from election-subversion prosecution, judge rules
“A former President’s exposure to federal criminal liability is essential to fulfilling our constitutional promise of equal justice under the law,” Chutkan ruled.
Donald Trump is not immune from prosecution for his attempt to subvert the 2020 election, U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan ruled Friday, concluding that his term as president does not serve as a shield against charges that he sought to defraud and disenfranchise millions of Americans.
“Defendant’s four-year service as Commander in Chief did not bestow on him the divine right of kings to evade the criminal accountability that governs his fellow citizens,” Chutkan ruled in a 48-page opinion, sweeping aside Trump’s most intricate attempt to derail the case against him.

I have a question. When are we going to see his behind in a courtroom for some of these crimes?

Next up, today there was arguments made in the Georgia case against Trump. It has been reported by MSNBC, as we all know that’s Trumps most favorite news network now, according to his latest late night tirades on his ‘Truth Social’ postings.
Trump’s attorneys argued today that his trial cannot take place until after the election, and if he’s elected, then he can’t be tried until he’s out of office, if then.
I’m no genius, but why wait? Go ahead with the trial right now.
His attorneys, when asked by the judge how long it would take them to prepare for trial, they responded “thirty days”.
Okay, give them 30 days from now to prepare and the trial starts on January 2, 2024!
All this and that’s , blah blah blahs and stay after stays for another reason , more ‘do they know’... do we know? America is dying, GOP is dying, Santos did more than was brought to surface, where is the accountability...in another lawyer? In another investigation? In another court ? Another district? Another day?
Ad infinitums exhaustibles.........and in the end it will be so far from their make believe world with not a damn thing to be done about it...
I’m disgusted
There are a number of Capitol Police and the like who are prepared to sue. It might be possible that voters (80 millions or so) could sue him for attempting to overturn our votes but that’s just a hunch from this corner, a non-attorney.
