We have all read numerous articles about the Debt Ceiling increase crisis in Washington, especially the “discussions” between President Biden and Speaker of the House McCarthy.
I’m not going through note you, I hope, with not going back over and having you read a lot about something that has been hashed through the grinder for months.
What I want us to look at, and begging, hopefully serious discussions throughout the United States, is this list of our Senators, that voted against this action. This group that insisted that the country go into default and:
Not be able to pay the bills owed.
Not be able to pay our outstanding armed forces personnel
Not be able to pay our federal employees
Not to be able to issue checks to those of us that actually have to survive month to month in the little social security we receive.
(NOTE: I could go on and in about this, but I’ll make that another writing. I actually am one of these people!)
Now let’s get down to this, shall we.
The Senate this past Thursday night, 01 June, 2023, voted to raise the limit of how much money the federal government can borrow to pay its bills. The measure, which passed in a 63-36 vote after bipartisan support was received from the House Wednesday, is being sent to President Biden to sign into law.
Senate Majority Leader Charles E. Schumer (D-N.Y.):
“Time is a luxury the Senate does not have if we want to prevent default,”
President Biden must sign the legislation before Monday, the day the government would default on its debt without an extended borrowing cap.
President Biden commented after the House of Representatives voted to approve the bill and send it to the Senate for a vote.
“This budget agreement is a bipartisan compromise. Neither side got everything it wanted. I have been clear that the only path forward is a bipartisan compromise that can earn the support of both parties. This agreement meets that test.”
(I obtained this information from a Washington Post article.)
Now, let’s look at who voted “NO”, “NAY”, “👎”, to force this nation of ours into a situation it hasn’t seen since I don’t know when. Not in my 71 years, I don’t think.

We, the PEOPLE, need to study this above list. Recognize those from our states, states we have family and friends living in, and work to have them removed from office.
It doesn’t matter the party affiliations in this matter, folks. These are Senators who were doing nothing but trying to manipulate this legislation to benefit themselves in one way or another. They were attempting to garnish amendments to this piece of legislation that would do nothing but give their particular district either added cuts in taxes, or concessions of some sort. Either this, or they just ignored how the people of their states/districts felt and voted against it to see the country credit crash. See the country disgraced worldwide. See our country default on all its debts and be unable to pay federal employees, and our military not paid.
This Debt Ceiling Amendment isn’t the place for such, and every one of these Senators knows this.
These Senators are a disgrace to the United States.
Each and every one of them need to be removed from office. The only people that can make this happen is us. We are their bosses. We hire these people to serve in Washington DC to represent us, our needs, our wants, our desires. This group of Senators have failed us all, again!
Now for the supporters of our national heritage, democracy, and the upholders of the law and Constitution. I’m providing this list so you’ll know who supported this measure as well. I dint want to go without giving a “shout out” to the Senators who did their jobs.
