Should Trump Be Disqualified From Running and Holding Public Office?
This is the question on a lot of people’s minds these days.
14th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution

Tonight, I want to delve into Section 3 of the 14th Amendment. Again, I want to remind you, my readers, that I’m not an attorney, or a legal scholar. BUT, I do know how to do research. This research findings is what I’m going to present to you. You can then make your own decision, and then I suggest you contact your state elections office and voice your opinion.
I want to start this by giving you the actual wording of Section 3, 14th Amendment:
Fourteenth Amendment Equal Protection and Other Rights
Section 3 Disqualification from Holding Office
No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.

Now, let’s dissect and discuss this a minute, in relation to Candidate Trump., and others. I’m going to begin with the ending. Switching this conversation up just a bit to make it more interesting.
A. First, do you think he deserves to hold the office of President of the United States, or any public elected office, ever again?
B. Do you feel that there are others currently running for the office of President of the United States on the Republican ticket who also should be disqualified under Section 3 of the 14th Amendment?
C. Do you feel others now serving in public office, or running for any other public office, in any state or federal government positions should be immediately removed from office under the provisions of Section 3 of the 14th Amendment?
D. If so, who do you feel should be removed from office immediately?
This is the questions I’m going to ask you to answer at the end of this discussion.
Now, let’s check out this Section 3 of the 14th Amendment, and see if we can determine if this is truly something needed to be perused by us, and our elected Senators and Representatives.
First, Section 3 is only two sentences in length, but they both are powerful wording!
What this first sentence says, clearly stated in just the first words is basically clear.
No person shall hold the offices of Senator, Representative, or President or Vice President of the United States, civil or military offices under the United States OR UNDER ANY STATE who has ever taken an oath as a member of any office of the United States to support and uphold the Constitution of the United States.
Further, this same sentence tells us that IF this person has taken this oath, and having been engaged in, or a rebellion against the United States of America, or given aid, or comfort to any enemy of the United States, they shall not be allowed to hold and of these offices, including judicial!
The second sentence is as follows:
But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.
Now, this is just my opinion here, but this us where the glitch comes into this. According to the first sentence of this Section, to me, it’s quite clear that Donald J. Trump is clearly disqualified from holding any public office ever again.
Now, I’m going out in a limb here and I’m going to say that the majority of the Republicans in the House of Representatives AND Senate are also disqualified from being in their public positions right now.
I can’t name them all right at this moment, but those that come to mind right on the top of my head are:
Lauren Boebert (CO)
Marjorie Taylor Greene (GA)
Josh Hawley (MO)
Andy Biggs (AZ)
Paul Gosar (AZ)
Kevin McCarthy (CA)
Matt Gaetz (FL)
James Comer (KY)
Steve Scalise (LA)
Michael Guest (MS)
Jim Jordan (OH)
This is only a few that I know, beyond any doubt had a hand in the January 6th insurrection, supported its actions, or possibly even in the planning. There’s many, many, other Republicans in both the House of Representatives and the Senate who need to be on this list. Please feel free to add them.
Folks, it will take a two-thirds vote of Congress to remove these people from office. It will take a two-thirds majority vote if Congress to prevent them, and state legislators, justices, or anyone else INVOLVED in the planning, participation, promoting, the insurrection on January 6, 2021. And yes, this includes Donald J. Trump!
I mean look, the law is the law, and the law-and-order folks ought to uphold it. Otherwise, just shred the constitution, but and once they do that, bah-bye gun rights!
Hecka yeah brother! Lets' do this thang! It removes his ELECTION INTERFENCE binky and allow his trials to play out much faster without his campaigning. Sure, MAGA will freak TFO out, but should we allow ourselves to be beholden to bunch of whiny terrorists? They are going freak out and do violent crap no matter what we do, so the sooner we shoehorn Trump's behind out, the better for all of us.
