Shutdown Avoided…..For Now!

All we need to worry about is Traitors Getz, and Greene, now.

A shutdown is averted!

As the shutdown loomed almost inevitable Saturday, the House of Representatives, Speaker McCarthy, with the help of House Minority Leader Jeffries and his caucus leaders, it was avoided with about two hours to spare. Gaetz and 89 of his other Republican colleagues voted against the Continuing Resolution (CR).

It still had to get through the Senate, and hopefully to the president’s desk before the stroke of 12:01 a.m. this morning, which, with the swift voting of the Senate, it was accomplished with little to no time to spare.

According to all I’ve been hearing, and reading, in this deal that Jeffries and McCarthy put together so it could be called to a vote, the Democrats are extremely pleased. They were able to increase spending limits on some important issues, while they were able to hold everything else they were wanting in the proposal with one exception, the funding of the Ukraine army. That was dropped from this CR to be brought up separately. So all is good, I guess.

There’s one issue we have to look forward to this week. The Trumpublicans, the GQP, led by none other than the treasonous traitor, Representative Matt Gaetz (R-FL), and his cohort in treason, Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA).

Representative Gaetz has repeatedly threatened he would introduce a Motion To Vacate (MTV) if a CR was introduced, and passed. As I heard on the reports, and read in news reports, Gaetz sat in the rear of the chamber on his phone during the vote, and upon its passing, shortly thereafter attempted to introduce the MTV, to kick Speaker McCarthy out of the Speakership, but, the gavel fell just as he was introducing it, to adjourn for the weekend.

Sorry, Matt, better luck next time, buuud!

That didn’t stop the rants. Gaetz, and Greene, had to get outside so they could get in front of the cameras and pout. 🥺 If those two weren’t such babies, I’d swear they were elected to represent citizens of this country! As is expected, both of them are blaming the Democrats for this. You know, let them blame the Democrats. That’s cool! It just shows that when a party stands together, for the people of the United States 🇺🇸, stuff gets done to benefit the people. Exactly as it was done the first two years of President Biden’s administration.

One thing’s for damn sure. Nothing’s been accomplished this last 9 months. Not since the 20th of January when the Republicans, the GQPers, took over the House of Representatives. Absolutely nothing!

Anyway, Gaetz has promised, on every MAGA news network he could get his mug on, that the MTV will be introduced this week. So, another week wasted!

Now, Speaker McCarthy’s response to Gaetz’ threat of MTV, to reporters Saturday after the vote passed?

“If somebody wants to make a motion against me, bring it!”
