What’s Going on with the DOJ and the FBI?
Are these Federal Investigative Agencies purposely “slow rolling” investigations into Trump and his Upper Echelon for the January 6, 2021 attempted coup?
A recent report in WAPO (link provided below) into the investigation of Donald J. Trump has provided an excellent timeline of events that have taken place since January 6, 2020.
FBI resisted opening probe into Trump’s role in Jan. 6 for more than a year
The Washington Post article by Carol D. Leonnig and Aaron C. Davis, (June 19, 2023 at 08:00 ET) is a superb investigative article into the actions of the DOJ, and the FBI, in reference to the entire investigation into the attempted coup, the attempt by Trump, and others, into overthrowing our Democracy. Stopping the transition of power to newly elected President Biden, and the attempted murder of several of our House of Representatives, Senators, and Vice President Pence.
I highly recommend, if you haven’t read this article, please read it. It’s well worth your time to read it.
This article lays out the timeline right from the time of the incident, up until now, of the actions of investigators in both departments, giving us an insight as to why it has taken 2 1/2 years to get, finally, to this point.
I have questions about this investigation, and the handling of it. I have my own thoughts on how this investigation should have proceeded right from the beginning, and I can tell you, it wouldn’t have been done like this has been done,
Let’s review several things just a minute.
First. January 6, 2021, which is a date nine of us will ever forget. We watched it unfold for over 3 1/2 hours on live television.
Second. We are all aware of the actions of then President Donald J. Trump, his sidekick Rudy Giuliani, and others, prior to the assault on the Capitol. We heard their speeches, we saw the agitated crowd, and we watched the crowd move toward the Capitol.
Third. We observed, on national television, the crowd breaking into the Capital building, fighting with the Capital Police, throwing objects like fire extinguishers, spraying chemicals, striking the officers with sticks, flagpoles, and anything else they had in their hands.
Forth. We observed the crowd force their way into the building breaking glass, climbing through windows, breaking the doors down to the Chambers where the Representatives and Senators had gathered to preform their duties to transfer power to newly elected President Biden.
Fifth. We learned, through the outstanding efforts of the January 6 Committee, that Trump was solely responsible for the planning, and having supremacy groups attending the rally with the sole purpose of carrying out, leading, the attempted coup on the Capital on January 6, 2021.
Sixth. We learned that there had been members of these groups visit the president at the White House several times during the months prior to the rally on January 6, 2021.
After all this, plus the fact that after the January 6 Committee had concluded their investigation, released their findings to the public, and had turned over all their evidence they had gathered, reports from those questioned, and everything they had to the DOJ, still, we are waiting for indictments of those responsible for the planning of this event.
This is totally irresponsible. There’s no need in this. This investigation has been ‘slow walked’ long enough. Now, it’s time to bring those responsible to justice. Charges need to be filed.

I agree with you Daniel the evidence is there, so why is no one being indicted?
