It’s a New Day! Or, Is It Really?

It’s time to get back with it, folks. My sabbatical has ended! We now have a wannabe dictator as president.

The 47th president was inaugurated today, at noon. Right off the bat, during his swearing in, he established his ‘dominance’ he’s going to display this entire 4 years. His first screw-up of the day. He refused to out his hand on the Bible during his swearing in. His second screw-up. He promised to uphold the laws of the Constitution.

I have to say, I almost puked!

Then, he started talking. Giving his ‘Inaugural Address’. And, in the normal Trump fashion. If he opened his mouth and spoke, he was lying. I honestly don’t believe I’ve ever heard one person ever talk about himself as much as he did today. Especially a president of the United States! Every speech I can remember was about the people. What they intended to do for the people of this great nation.

Then, he started telling us how he was going to make the other countries pay the tariff on their imported goods. This had me immediately go back to his previous term. His ‘trade embargo’ that he did. Stopped all trade of all goods with every country we had a trade agreement with. At that time, the countries refused our ships into their ports. Hundreds of tons of perishable goods were dumped into the oceans. thousands of animals starved to death in the ships, having to be dumped into the oceans. What did this cause? Hundreds of our farmers lost everything. They lost their farms, homes, some lost their families. All because Trump had it in his head that these other countries would bend to his whim.

Folks, a tariff is nothing more than a tax. And, the people that end up paying these tariffs is……you guessed it. Us. We end up paying the tariffs. If anyone things that these companies are going to fork out hundreds of thousands of dollars to get their goods into this country, and not pass that cost on to the consumers, needs to buy the mountain land I can sell them in the Florida Keys! (The last time I was in the Florida Keys, I recall it being at sea level. No mountains!)

The next thing he talked about was the military being used in American soil in different tasks. Here again, if my memory serves me (which is questionable at times), the Constitution states that the military will not be deployed against its own in American soil. He talked about other countries paying us, and us they didn’t, he with turn the military loose on them. In short, our military will be involved in a war with just about every nation on earth for the next 4 years!

Now, I need to regress back to January 6, 2021. Rioters stormed our nation’s capitol building. This being done in an attempt to stop the congressional count of the vote. A simple process that has been performed since the beginning of this nation.

On this day, law enforcement officers were assaulted, some were killed. The Capitol building itself was damaged. The rioters defecated in the building, the rotunda floor. Officers were beaten with bats, flag poles. And all other type of weapons.

The outcome of that day resulted in over 1500 convictions and prison sentences for individuals. Trump himself was facing over 500 years of prison time, if convicted. Thanks to the 49.9% of people in this nation that don’t have the common sense of a billy goat, elected this treasonous traitor back in the Oval Office. This man, whose own wife, refuses to live in the White House with him.

One of Trump’s first actions was to give a full pardon to over 1500 who had been convicted for their actions on January 6th. And sentences commuted for 14 others. Due to Trump having control of the court system, his case in Florida was ‘dismissed’ by his judge he had appointed there in his first term. And I’ll nit even get started in the mess he made of the Supreme Court! Now, all the Federal cases against Trump have been “shelved”, so to speak. Will he ever see the inside of a courtroom snd face punishment for his crimes? I seriously doubt it.

Once again, Trump ‘skates’ on his criminal activity. Something he’s been doing the entire life!

This is only the beginning of four years of ‘hell’, folks. Hold on, because it’s going to be a real bumpy ride!
