I with you Daniel, WE are just part of a whole , we see lots of improvements to be made, mistakes overlooked, and yet WE are NOT going to throw this beautiful baby AMERICA out with the dirty water.
We DO need to fix our immigration system, the thousands of minds living in oppression SEE America is their best chance ...THEY KNOW...and they have lots to offer . Get them vetted, papered , protected, educated. They are NO LONGER just the chamber pot handlers “allowed” into our country. They are hard workers, inventors, artists, and willing.
WE DO need to fix our tax system for clarity of responsibility ...no mo loophole lushes.
WE DO need to afford health care for EVERYONE and support single mothers, AND their children so they can afford to have/raise children ..know the statistics of infant deaths, abuse, addiction...? They tell a story of nothing but neglect !
WE DO need to pay teachers well, expect credentials to support OUR children ALL our children..WE are THE VILLAGE it takes . Those who don’t vote for these things....and you SHOULD KNOW what YOUR “ representative “ IS voting for ...or against! Tells the story period....and it ain’t pretty.

Why are people wiling to vote for Trump? That is the million dollar question, isn't it. I get it with his MAGA followers. They have been groomed to accept a dictatorship. Average Americans, however? I am just flummoxed. How can they hear stories about a pregnant woman potentially being killed by overreach in Texas and think to vote third party or not to vote at all? I just don't get it.
Alicia, I’m totally perplexed by the same thing. But, we cannot even think about a “third party” candidate for president. It has to be BLUE. Right now, that’s Biden/Harris. Besides, I look at Biden’s record. I look at what he’s accomplished.
Has he made mistakes. Hell yes! But, last I looked he’s not God. He’s not perfect. And, when he does make a mistake he fixes it! He’s worked in the economy, infrastructure, trade has been resumed since he entered office where Trump had all but stopped it, except for where the top 1% made money. President Biden has done more for the lower and middle class of people in this country than any other has done since John F. Kennedy and President Barrack Obama.
That’s what has past see off the Trumpublicans. The MAGA crowd is losing their grip because we are uprising and taking this country back. And we are doing it at the polls. We are voting their asses out!
And I fully understand your point, Mark. My dad, and mother, were Republicans, up to a point. Then, something happened in the early 60s that caused them to flip to the Democratic Party. One was Kihn F. Kennedy. The other was the sheriff’s race in Palm Beach County, Florida, and the County Commissioner race. My dad was so mad with the local Republican Party, which he was a member of the board, he quit, and be immediately registered as a Democrat.
Now, I honestly do not remember what the circumstances were which caused him, and my mother to quit, because I was only 12 years old at the time. But I d remember his language when he, and other farmers were discussing it at the farm. It wasn’t pretty at all! A lot of words I don’t think I need to put in print. I’ll just say he called them every 4-letter word in the book, and, I think he even made up a few new ones!
My point here is, old sheep can be let to a different water trough. In doing so, my mind was made up. I have been drinking from the same water trough all my life, but, when I vote. I vote for the person whom I feel will do the best job for us, the people, instead of the top 1% money hungry giants in this world. I have voted for Republican candidates in the past. Some were good choices. Some were not. Just like some of the democrats that have ran in the past. Some were good. Some were not. What it takes from us is proper vetting, proper per investigation, checking into who their donors are, what their views are on topics of our interest.
Right now, in this 2024 race, we can’t answer any of these questions about any of the Republican candidates. None of them has truly expressed any views on any topics in any debate. It’s all been infighting, cut-downs, and back-stabbing, all consisting mostly of lying to each other about each other.
With President Biden, we all know what he’s about. He’s about getting things done for us, the people. He proved that the first two years when he had a Congress that helped him get accomplished whst he was able to get done. Since the Republicans have taken over this year in the House, everything has been at a stand-still. Nothing has been fine, and that includes the Senate even trying to accomplish things by bypassing the ignorant acting House of Representatives.
I think you have summed up the entire point, mess, dilema, in your writings.Many People vote without doing an in-depth search, study,or fail to analyze the points being put forward by politicians. And I think that you will agree with me on this point, America is not alone with regards to the average voters, in many a country.
