Thanks, Patricia. You are very correct. Only time will tell, but, he’s MAGA, and definitely will have a lot if work to do to overcome that knowledge about him. He also voted to overthrow the election results.
His track record isn’t a good one, but, his first thing out his mouth in his acceptance speech was thanking Jeffries, and the Democrats, and he’s looking forward to working with them in a bipartisan compromise on a lot of business that needs to get done.
So, we shall see. It won’t take long to tell where his MAGA head is.
Love your cartoons, very expressive! I’m very concerned about his history, especially extreme views on religion. But if he’s holding the gavel, perhaps he’s unlikely to author legislation. His power is in what bills get to the floor. He is also very inexperienced and as second in line to the presidency, that is of great concern to me. We have no choice at present except to wish him well but the alarming speed at which he popped up on the radar and flew into the Speaker’s chair is disturbing to me. Not that we weren’t getting desperate! Would have loved being a fly on the wall behind those closed doors! We’ll know soon enough.

No one cared who sent into the Speakers chair. It was over 3 weeks, and all of their nerves were on edge. Donald Duck 🦆 could have been nominated and would have received a unanimous vote, except the MAGA crowd, as usual.
But then again. Donald Duck 🦆 might have made a better Speaker of the House of Representatives.
Judith, I’m extremely concerned. And, yes, you can bet that Trumputin had everything to do with the rapid accent to the Speakership. And Trumputin will be pulling his strings. I fear he’s another puppet!
