You’re very correct. And, I just learned the other day on MSNBC that he’s been living in Florida! He’s not even living in his state he represents! He and his wife sold their home and property in Alabama and moved to Florida. She also has been working in real estate there, and already has her license. They’ve been there for a while!

Too often, these so-called “charities” and foundations are a tax scam. In too-rare instances, donors actually put their money where their mouths are and often, they even go beyond. They do it without fanfare or egotistical behavior. Rob and Michelle Reiner come to mind; they are a good example of the real deal. There are many others but few of them are politicians.
I agree. There are those that put their money into charities of their own, just as they ask you to. Plus, they have no qualms if chiding how much actually is used fjr ghd specific charity, and how much is “operational expenses”. I always fave to the Muscular Dystrophy every year when Jerry Lewis was MC of it. He also was the National chairman, and took no money from the charity fir his work. Plus, every year, he always marched the donations of the public, dollar for dollar. There were no salaries of any kind paid out if the Muscular Dystrophy charity when he was operating it. 100% donations went to testing, families with members inflicted, their care, equipment, anything the family needed, the charity provided it. Plus it funded all the experiments, etc., throughout the following year.
I look charities up in Charity Navigator. The only thing is it doesn't cover political collections.
This sound so like trump. He stole from his NY charity and was banned from setting up charities in New York. He also promised to donate his salaries to a charity. He did not do this for his 4th year. he claimed he was the ONLY one to do this. Wrong: JFK did it for all of terms in office and Taft also did it. Trump lie again.
